What is different with the new generation of Rough Terrain Forklifts?

The latest generation of rough terrain forklifts is capable of handling material weighing in excess of four thousand pounds. Further, the telescoping feature has also been improvised, so some brands of rough terrain forklifts can telescope to a height of up to thirty-five feet. With improvement in technology have come better ergonomics and safety features for the operator also. It is common to come across rough terrain forklifts with small enclosed cabins for the operator to be seated in, replacing the slightly more risky and definitely more uncomfortable open-air seat available to the operator earlier.

The rough terrain forklifts today have encroached upon non-rough-terrain territory also. These forklifts are proving to be quite useful on smooth and paved flooring as well. The forklift can therefore be used to transport material across an uneven ground, and upon entering the factory premises or warehouse, the same forklift drives forward on the paved floor to reach the location where the material has to be lowered to the ground.
